What Spring Looks Like...in the Arctic(MN)

Writing prompt for the week: Photo story: Take a walk through your neighborhood this week and share some pictures of what spring looks like where you live.
Let me just start by saying, it has been COLD, and CRAPPY, and if it's not SNOWING, it's been RAINING!!!!!!! I'm actually not kidding. The sun has shone it's lovely rays only 2 of the last 14 days. Someone said to me yesterday,"Don't you know April showers bring May flowers?". Ummm, don't you know I really wanted to reach my ninja-like-fists-of- fury and punch the smirk right off his face????!!! Yes, I have had a rant about this lovely weather a couple of weeks ago, but it's worth another post.

So without further ado, here's my photo story of spring...
This was on Saturday...notice the winter hats.

Still wearing winter hats...

Pouting because he thinks soccer practice will be cancelled...AGAIN!!!

No green leaves here, notice the gray sky.

Hundreds of these bad boys everywhere...kid #1 dry heaves on the way into school because of these...it's the smell...weak stomach...STRONG gag reflex.

"Brrrr, can't we go in?"
I tried to capture the tiny buds on this bush...unsuccessfully.
So, there you have it folks, spring in Minnesota...all I can say is there better be some REALLY gorgeous flowers in May.
